How to Add Your Own Cursor Packs?

Unleash your creativity by uploading your own custom cursors! It's the perfect way to make your browsing experience truly personal. Whether it's a photo of your pet, a piece of pixel art, or your own design, you can turn almost any image into a cursor.

Important Note: For security reasons, customizations are disabled on the Chrome Web Store, browser's inner pages (like settings), and the homepage. Please test your new cursor on any other website, like Google.com.

What You'll Need

Before you start, make sure you have your cursor images ready. Here are the requirements:

  • File Format: For best results, use images in .PNG format with a transparent background. Our extension also supports .CUR (static) and .ANI (animated) files.
  • Two Images Required: A complete cursor pack consists of two parts: the Normal Pointer (your main arrow) and the Link Select / Hand Pointer (what appears when you hover over a link).
  • Recommended Size: For sharp, clear cursors, we recommend an image size of up to 128x128 pixels. Smaller sizes like 32x32 or 64x64 also work perfectly.

Step-by-Step Guide to Upload Your Cursors

  1. Open the Extension and Go to the "Upload" Tab

Click the CM Cursors icon in your browser toolbar to open the main panel. Navigate to the "Upload" or "My Collection" section. Look for a button that says "Upload Cursors" or "Add New".

  5. Activate Your New Cursor Pack

Your newly created cursor pack will now appear in your collection. Simply click on it to activate it and see it in action on your browser!

Pro-Tips for Creating Great Cursors

  • Hotspot: The "hotspot" is the exact pixel of your cursor that does the clicking. For arrow shapes, it's usually the very tip. Our uploader will try to set it automatically, but for best results, place the active point in the top-left corner of your image.
  • Visibility: Cursors with a thin border or a drop shadow are often easier to see on different website backgrounds.
