Collection Madness Combat

Madness Combat is one of the foundational works of Flash animation, and it's remarkable how much style Krinkels wrung out of stick figures with sunglasses. Nevada, an endless grey wasteland, a man called Hank, and a body count that starts high and climbs.

The choreography is the whole appeal. These are fight scenes animated frame by frame with an absurd attention to weight and impact - weapons get picked up mid-motion, guns run dry, and every hit connects with a specific crunch. It looks simple and is not.

The lore accumulated by accident over two decades. Jebus, Tricky the clown, the Auditor, resurrections, improbable escalation into something almost cosmic. None of it was planned and the fandom mapped all of it anyway.

The soundtracks by Cheshyre are inseparable from the animations at this point, and hearing one immediately puts a certain generation back in a browser window.
