We Bare Bears is about three bear brothers trying to fit into human society in the San Francisco Bay Area, mostly by standing on each other's shoulders and hoping nobody notices. The bear stack is the best character design decision in the show and appears in almost every episode.

Daniel Chong built it out of a webcomic about bears wanting friends, and that loneliness stays underneath the comedy. The bears are constantly trying to be accepted - through the internet, through cafés, through food trucks - and often failing in ways that are funnier than they are sad, but only just.

The personalities are perfectly balanced. Grizzly's manic optimism, Panda's anxiety and phone addiction, and Ice Bear's laconic competence at literally everything. Ice Bear speaking about himself in the third person is one of the great running jokes of 2010s animation.

The show's take on internet culture aged better than most, largely because it treated it as ordinary rather than remarkable.
